《阿尔卑斯：自然的巨人》是2005年9月IMAX电影公司跟随美国登山家John Harlin，记录其从北壁登顶艾格峰的影片。40年前，他的父亲约翰·哈林二世1966年在攀登艾格峰北壁垂直路线时因绳索断裂而遇难，拍摄这部影片也算是对其父亲的纪念了。In 1966, John Harlin II died while attempting Europe's most difficult climb, the North Face of the Eiger in Switzerland. 40 years later, his son John Harlin III, an expert mountaineer and the editor of the American Alpine Journal, returns to attempt the same climb.
