强尼和战友退伍回乡，却发现妻子海伦和黑帮分子有染，在一阵争吵后，强尼离开了，但他不知道之后海伦就被杀害了，而他只能踏上逃亡之路，就连他的战友也被牵连，为了战友，强尼指的自首，幸好警长最终还是逮到了真凶When Johnny comes home from the navy he finds his wife Helen kissing her substitute boyfriend Eddie, the owner of the Blue Dahlia nightclub. Helen admits her drunkenness caused their son's death. He pulls a gun on her but decides she's not worth it. Later, Helen is found dead and Johnny is the prime suspect.
