剧情介绍
影片鲜明而真实地表现了1942年夏季苏军在顿河草原上的保卫战：一支团队在撤退途中，奉命占领一个小村后面的十字路口的高地。主人公在战前从事着不同的职业，战争使他们聚集到了一起。经过艰苦卓绝的战斗，这支团队完成了占领高地的任务，保住了团队的旗帜，但付出了惨痛的代价，伤亡十分严重。In July 1942, in the Second World War, the rearguard of the Red army protects the bridgehead of the Don River against the German army while the retreating soviet troops cross the bridge. While they move back to the Russian territory through the countryside, the soldiers show their companionship, sentiments, fears and heroism to defend their motherland.
