Plot Summary:With the construction of the Rumeli Hisari fortress on the western bank of the Bosphorus, Sultan Mehmed II's goal is literally chiseled in stone: The conquest of Constantinople. Now the ship passage to the Black Sea at its narrowest point, together with the eastern fortress of his great-grandfather, is under Ottoman control.
