Plot Summary:Housemaids are an integral part of the household in Brazil, and participate in the day-to-day life of the family. The employment of housemaids is almost obligatory among the middle and upper classes of the country. The vast majority of these housemaids are black women, who face high levels of inequality based on their gender, race and social class. Their role in the household raises important questions about public and private space, endurance and choice, and labor and family life.
实验性地记录六位女佣在多个巴西家庭的工作。导演把摄像机交给了六个家庭里的七位青少年，要求他们在连续的七天之内，天天跟随女佣拍摄。每个家庭有着不同的关系，这也决定了摄像机与其拍摄主体的关系，从而捕捉到女佣既非家庭成员、又非外人的特殊地位。
