Plot Summary:Mickey is preparing to conduct an opera when he chases Pluto away. Pluto crashes into a magician's props backstage and spars with the hat, its rabbits, and its doves. The opera begins: Clarabelle plays flute, Clara and Donald are the leads in a Romeo and Juliet style opera, "Bella Figlia Dell'Amore" from Verdi's Rigoletto. Pluto follows the magic hat onstage, to Mickey's growing annoyance. The hat falls into a tuba, and soon the animals are filling the stage.
夜幕降临，华灯初上，坐落于繁华地段的大剧院中，即将上演一场精彩的歌剧表演。表演者是米奇（沃尔特·迪斯尼 Walt Disney 配音）所率领的剧团。此时剧场内坐满了慕名而来的观众，幕布之后，米奇正观察观众席上的动静，顽皮的布鲁托（品托·考维格 Pinto Colvig 配音）却在一旁捣乱。它被米奇赶走，不小心碰到了第二天即将上台表演的魔术师的道具，其中那顶礼帽中的兔子引起了它的注意。不久，音乐响起，伴随着米奇的指挥，大幕拉开，肥胖的克拉拉（Florence Gill 配音）和唐老鸭（克拉伦斯·纳什 Clarence Nash 配音）相继登台演唱。就在此时，布鲁托却追着帽子闯入台前，惹出不少的乱子……
