Plot Summary:Tom is, of course, chasing Jerry. He's about to administer the coup de grace when a canary intervenes, dropping the bottom of his cage on Tom. Tom then chases the bird a while, and Jerry intervenes at the critical moment. The bird helps Jerry get to his hole. The two continue to team up against Tom. The bird points a gun at Tom and chases him with it; Jerry drops a light bulb, making Tom think he's been shot. They celebrate, but Tom comes to, tying Jerry to the model train tracks. The bird drops a bowling ball, sending Tom crashing into the basement.
安静的大房子内，小金丝雀正在自己的笼子内打盹。突然，房间传来了吵闹声，原来汤姆和杰瑞这对冤家又打了起来，他们一路追逐，砸坏了不少家具和器皿。终于，弱小的杰瑞被汤姆逼到绝路，眼看就要成为老对手的盘中之菜。在这关键时刻，金丝雀见义勇为，拆掉了笼子的底座，结果汤姆被底座砸个正着，眼冒金星。好不容易要抓住杰瑞了，却半路杀出个程咬金，这令汤姆十分生气，他转而追杀金丝雀。看到金丝雀为了自己落于危难之中，杰瑞反过来帮助金丝雀躲避汤姆的追杀。在这一过程中，他们成为了好朋友。 虽然三番五次受挫，可是执着的汤姆决不放弃，他一定要抓到这两个讨厌的小家伙……
