Plot Summary:Autumn of 1857, Beleño (a little town of the Principality of Asturias, north to Spain). Pedro is a widower farmer nicknamed El Cabezota (Spanish for "stubborn") who lives with his little son Pedrín, nicknamed El Cabezota 2, hunting birds and cultivating the vegetable garden of their ancestors, but their pacific way of life is altered when the Kings of Spain enact a new law to educate all child of the country, including those in the rural villages, establishing the obligatory school for children. El Cabezota, a country man with a golden heart but without culture nor education, doesn't accepts the law and he denies to send Pedrín to the school in order to care the farm and to learn all the same things that he knows. But this discussion changes after the arrival of the professor, a beauty woman who tries to teach the children to end with the lack of education and ignorance.
