Plot Summary:Melvin Hoover, a budding photographer for Look magazine, accidentally bumps into a young actress named Judy LeRoy in the park. They start to talk and Melvin soon offers to do a photo spread of her. His boss, however, has no intention of using the photos. Melvin wants to marry Judy, but her father would rather she marry dull and dependable Harry Black. As a last resort, Melvin promises to get Judy's photo on the cover of the next issue of Look, a task easier said than done.
Melvin（Donald O'Connor飾演）是雜誌攝影師，他偶遇年輕女演員 Judy LeRoy （Debbie Reynolds飾演），答應為她拍攝一輯照片。他的波士卻不打算用她的照片作封面。 Judy 父親希望女兒嫁給Harry Black，女兒不肯。Melvin自製封面討其父親歡心，他以為女兒將成為荷里活影星，就答應兩人交往。豈料，發現封面是假的，Melvin不敢見他們失蹤，Judy一家人趕往雜誌社，波士知情後，起用Judy封面相，最後在公園找回Melvin，有情人終於一起。
