Plot Summary:Tilly Trotter is a down to earth young woman who is full of integrity and impassioned with innocent affection for the local farmer. Resilience and self belief carry her through some very dark days, and this splendid adaptation shows us her journey from destitution to eventual happiness. True love grows with time and in the most unexpected of places. Tilly had her own mind, nobody can take that away from her. I totally recommend this film - the DVD is 3 hours long - every minute worth watching. A must for Catherine Cookson fans, and for realists and romantics.
蒂莉特罗特从小被祖父母养大，是位亭亭玉立且有教养的女生，她天生带来的吸引力交到了不少异性好友，男人都会心疼喜欢她，她的魅力给她带来了不凡的命运，但在遭到了其他女人的妒忌，甚至谣传她是个邪恶的女巫。 她的感情周旋于两位有妇之夫，一个是她以前仰慕后来娶了有钱人家女儿的农夫simon，一位则是对她在居无定所时伸出援手让她在家里担任管家的绅士mark。mark和老婆感情不和，一次工作中，mark被埋在了矿井里，是蒂莉特罗特救了他，不过mark也从此失去一条腿。mark对其愈加倾心但是没有表白。 一天农夫的太太突然去世，mark没有告诉蒂莉特罗特，而她在六个礼拜后得知消息立刻去看农夫，但是看到农夫与一女人鬼混，那个伤心哦。。。后来。。。嘿嘿，当然和mark圆满啦！！
