Plot Summary:Following graduation, Nick Garrett promises his love Hannah to return after six weeks in Europe. But he never does. Ten years later he is the author of a best-seller based on his home town and many of his former friends. Nick goes back for a weekend to lecture at the college and revives his friendships with his buddies (except for Eddie his best friend.) Nick is also unable to heal the breach his broken promise made in his relationship with Hannah, who has moved on with her ten-year old son Sam and is in a relationship with a man none of Nick's friends thought was worth anything while they were growing up.
