Plot Summary:George Sands, a young porter at a Bristol hospital, has an unenviable secret. Some years ago he was attacked by a pack of werewolves and is now one himself. His friend and co-worker John Mitchell, whilst he looks very young, is a centuries old vampire, though he is trying to resist his blood lust, placing him at odds with the vampire leader Herrick. The pair rent a house and are surprised to find a third occupant whom only they can see - Annie, a young woman who died after falling downstairs in the house and is now a ghost.
