Plot Summary:A passion for the job makes Franco Soneri Ferrara's best investigator but also its most difficult. He's brusque and inscrutable, but he and his team manage to discover what others would like to keep hidden: addictions, pedophilia, secret loves, and even injustices left over from World War II.
Inspired by the four famous novels by Valerio Varesi, each film follows an investigation by Soneri, Ferrara Police Chief. He works with a faithful squad on a series of crimes, each hiding a disturbing mystery, with the startling and grotesque undertones of the apparently calm world of the wealthy countryside.
