Egypte - 1967 - 105’ Avec Souad Hosny, Shoukry Sarhane, Salah Mansour. Pour avoir un héritier, un maire quinquagénaire décide, avec l'accord de sa femme riche, mais stérile, de prendre une seconde épouse. Leur choix tombe sur une de leur servantes, déjà mariée et mère de deux enfants. Attachée à son mari, celle-ci se révolte bientôt contre cet abus de pouvoir.
