Plot Summary:On August 15th, 2005, the Israeli government began the evacuation, the removal, the expulsion, the disengagement - the withdrawal - of over 8,500 of her citizens from 21 Jewish settlements in the Gaza Strip. Young Israeli soldiers and police were faced with an extraordinary mission: the heart-wrenching task of removing fellow Jewish citizens from their homes, schools and synagogues, forcing them to dismantle their farms and industry as well as uproot their graveyards. This 90-minute documentary is less a political film than a chronicle of the last days of a world and a way of life that is likely to vanish, and disappear into the desert from which it sprang.
