Plot Summary:Utaban was a Japanese music variety show, broadcast weekly on TBS. The name of the show is an abbreviation of \"uta bangumi\", meaning \"music program\". A special version of the show, running for two hours, was occasionally aired under the name Tokuban , an abbreviation of \"tokubetsu bangumi\", meaning \"special program\". The show's theme song, played during the opening sequence and closing credits, was \"These Boots Are Made for Walkin'\" by Nancy Sinatra. After 13 and a half years on air, the show made its final broadcast on March 23, 2010. It was reformatted into a new show called The Music Hour, also hosted by Ishibashi and Nakai, which aired on TBS from April 20 to September 14, 2010.
《歌番》（うたばん、UTABAN）是1996年10月15日开播的TBS电视台音乐节目。节目名称“うたん”是由“歌曲”和“节目”二词的日文──“歌（うた）”、“番组（ばんぐみ）”──的简称。特别场更会以“特别番组（とくべつばんぐみ）”（特别节目）的简称“とくばん”（特番）来命名。2007年4月19日起加入字幕放送功能，而在2008年4月10日开始更以高清技术制作节目。
