Plot Summary:C-Roc is a famous rapper whose career has begun to stall, so on his latest tour he includes a stop at his hometown to get a feel for his 'roots' again. Unbeknownst to Gary, Marissa grew up with C-Roc and is still angry with him for jilting her best friend Gayle Clark. Gayle and Marissa sing in a church choir and do not like the criminal undertones to C-Roc's music and videos, and when he sees how his music is negatively affecting Gayle's son Chris, he re-examines his life.
