Plot Summary:Musician brothers Cesar and Nestor leave Cuba for America in the 1950s, hoping to hit the top of the Latin music scene. Cesar is the older brother, the business manager, and the ladies' man. Nestor is the brooding songwriter, who cannot forget the woman in Cuba who broke his heart.
20世纪50年代初，古巴哈瓦那，革命的烈火与拉丁的激情齐头并进。在当地一家夜总会中，拉斯特家的两兄弟西萨尔（阿曼德·阿山特 Armand Assante 饰）和内斯特（安东尼奥·班德拉斯 Antonio Banderas 饰）联袂表演曼波，小有名气。内斯特与美丽的玛丽亚相恋，谁知夜总会老板却威逼利诱霸占了玛丽亚。在黑暗的强权面前，拉斯特兄弟黯然离开哈瓦那，前往美国纽约投奔表兄。这对心高气傲的兄弟刚抵达目的地，便前往城中最棒的夜总会。西萨尔出色的即兴表演引起了众多名制作人和老板的注意，也赢得美人拉娜的芳心。不久后，拉斯特兄弟的曼波王乐队成立，在大都会纽约谱写着他们的悲喜传奇…… 本片根据Oscar Hijuelos的原著改编，并获1993年奥斯卡金像奖最佳原创音乐提名。
