Plot Summary:Wearing a dowdy robe and slippers, an aging Ethel shuffles to the door to answer the knock of a young man who's there to see a sofa she's selling. As Ethel drones on and on about her wealthy son who's bought her a new sofa, the young man figures out that she's blind and looks around for things he might lift. He hears her talking about a new expensive suit her son has bought, sees it on a hanger, and proceeds to change into it as Ethel's monologue continues. He leaves without buying the sofa, but Ethel may get the last laugh.
