Plot Summary:Hollis Frampton films some of his artist friends in a typical scene of them talking and laughing, and creates variations on it. First, the scene is played upside down; next, it is done in negative. Paint is applied to the filmstrip to high-light the features of the different individuals; dots are added; lines are drawn. The scene is also shown in different color tones, including purple, green and blue; moving patterns including grids are displayed. A moon separates each bit. Twenty different variations are done in all.
