Plot Summary:Set in ancient China, Qiao is a scholar on his way towards the capital for national examination. Lan is the son of a local official, he takes a girl for marriage by force and the girl sits in a sedan. Qiao goes into the sedan coincidentally, he decide to pass himself as the girl to play trick on Lan. Finally Qiao falls in love with Lan's sister.
古时候，书生乔溪（韩非 饰）赴京赶考，巧遇官府小姐蓝秀英（孙景璐 饰），俩人一见钟情。秀英之兄蓝木斯（阳华 饰）乃一纨绔子弟，整日游手好闲，欺男霸女。他见黄家女儿丽娟（凤凰 饰）生的貌美，伺机抢亲。黄母（黄耐霜 饰）无奈携女出逃至某客栈，蓝随后带家丁追到客栈，迷路的乔溪则路遇抢亲花轿钻进去，被误为黄女抬入蓝府。一觉醒来的乔溪闻听事由经过，在轿内男扮女装，要戏弄一下飞扬跋扈的蓝公子。秀英非常不满哥哥的抢亲行为，协助乔溪假戏真做。蓝母（高依云 饰）护犊心切，不听女儿劝阻，反要女儿劝“新娘”就范。当她掀起盖头，发现“新娘”竟是那日路遇的书生乔公子......
