Plot Summary:BBC presenter Gordon Buchanan volunteered for a biological experiment. He spends a year in the world near and interacting with a North American brown bears family, so as to study their social life as closely as possible.
本片分别从春、夏、秋三个季节来讲述摄影师 Gordon Buchanan与野生黑熊一家共处的故事。 Gordon来到明尼苏达的森林，这时熊群正好结束冬眠，从窝里出来。Gordon要做的第一件事就是赢得熊的信任。当然，他也要克服自己内心的恐惧，要知道黑熊是出了名的坏脾气，黑熊袭击人的事件超过其他的熊类。然而，当Gordon遇见和蔼的黑熊一家，年轻的妈妈Lily和小熊Hope之后，他着实被感动了。
